343 people completed the exams following the April 2002 session, compared to 306 in October and 295 in April last year. The pass rate also improved from 36 to 42 per cent.
Those who pass are eligible to join the Society Of Financial Advisers (SOFA).
Brian Lawless, managing director of SOFA, said: "At a time when the spotlight is on the need for financial advisers to demonstrate professional commitment above the regualtory minimum it is particularly encouraging to see the number of people completing AFPC increase."
