Sears will now be responsible for assessing, structuring and progressing property development loan applications from initial submission through to final completion.
Sears was previously a regional sales manager with Aldermore Invoice Finance and prior to that was part of the commercial banking team at NatWest for six years.
Sears said: “Many regional property developers are finding that good quality projects are being held up because of lack of funding.
Aldermore is able to help experienced property developers across the country get such projects back on track and I look forward to speaking to them during the months ahead.”

Aldermore has lent more than £2bn since first opening its doors for business in the summer of 2009.
