With over 30 mortgage consultants writing mortgages from within Estate Agents, New Build and non-status business direct to the public, AMS has joined MSN as AR’s for both its mortgage and protection/general insurance business.
Ian Gibbons, Managing Director of AMS commented,
“Having previously been the largest AR’s of Scottish Amicable we were well aware of the requirements placed on a firm by its Principal when choosing to be an AR. However, having looked at both routes available to our business, we felt that being an AR would give us the day to day support and comfort we desired, providing of course that we chose the right Principal.
We certainly had no urge to be part of a single life company offering again and so tieing ourselves to one life company was quickly dismissed.
The fact that Mortgage Support Network offered us access to every lender and not a panel together with a choice of 8 life companies and all our P.I. insurance, FSA costs and Ombudsman/Compensation Scheme fees covered, was very attractive. Our advisors have also used their packaging arm, Mortgage-1, and we are very comfortable with the levels of skill and service they offer. I am certain we have made the right choice.
The move to MSN comes at a time when the company has also moved its head office operations to new premises in Northampton having taken residence in the old David Wilson Homes HO building.
