The society’s web portal for introducers is live for printing KFIs, getting an automated decision in principle and following through to full online applications.
Gill Vernau, the society’s executive for branches and development, said: “This is a win-win for all parties – homebuyers, introducers and the society.
“The online applications are easy, quick, reliable and secure. It is already leading to more accurate and complete applications followed by more rapid decision making.”
A growing number of introducers are working with Hinckley & Rugby, said Gill, and many like to work online for speed, accuracy and because it means they can work flexibly at weekends and evenings.
Introducers have long been apply to apply online via services such as Trigold, but applying directly to Hinckley & Rugby will ensure the information gathered is complete first time.
Gill said: “Because it is our own website the information comes directly to us and we can ensure each application has all we need, with no omissions, which makes processing much more efficient and rapid.
“We are still, of course, delighted to speak to introducers and provide a personal touch. This is not about replacing human contact with computers.
“Those introducers who prefer to print out an application form and fill it in before sending it to us are still very welcome to do so. The online application system is another option for introducers, one that reduces the potential for errors and time being consumed by chasing missing information.
“The first introducers who have seen and used the online system are all thrilled that they now have this facility to use on behalf of their clients.”
