Ghanshyam Batra, who was formerly head of Watford-based Mortgage 10 Limited, was banned by the Financial Conduct Authority for submitting inaccurate mortgage applications to two lenders, while the regulator's decision was upheld by the Upper Tribunal in May 2014.
The Court of Appeal refused Batra’s appeal against the ruling.
The tribunal ruled that Batra was reckless, he failed to be open and co-operative with lenders and he never intended to comply with the mortgage offer conditions.
The Upper Tribunal failed to ascertain whether Batra had been deliberately dishonest however.
Batra was given his Final Notice, while he was prohibited from working in the market from 17 July 2015.
