Taking place in May and June, the 10 events will host debates involving industry figures on contemporary mortgage issues and allow intermediaries the opportunity to road-test products and services from the sourcing system.
With the events coinciding with this Summer’s World Cup, there is also a football theme, with famous stadiums, such as Old Trafford, hosting, and other football-related tie-ins.
Mark Lofthouse, CEO of Mortgage Brain, commented: “We’re delighted to be running our Premier Events for the third successive year. They have proved hugely popular and provide the perfect opportunity for everyone to hear and discuss views and issues that are important to them, announce new products as well as gaining valuable knowledge and training from the interactive mortgage sourcing and electronic trading workshops.”
Topics up for decision include the role of packagers, adverse lending and the reality of compliance, with industry experts on hand to answer questions.
The tour kicks off at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 23 May, with events also taking place at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge (31 May), Newcastle United’s St James’ Park (14 June) and Hampden Park in Glasgow (20 June).
Adrian Kidd, an IFA at Mint Financial Services, said roadshows are a valuable tool. “I’m a big advocate as more often than not, you go to these things and you come away with one thing which makes a big difference. With Mortgage Brain, there are so many little idiosyncrasies that unless you know exactly what you are doing, you might not be able to get the best product. You’ve got to try and keep up with the game and these things help you do that.”
