The specialist lending brokerage held the lender day in association with Precise to help introducers with their enquiries.
The focus of the day was on showing brokers where Precise’s proposition could help their clients.
The event ran from 8:30am until 6:00pm and by the end of the day Brightstar had two confirmed deals worth a total of £1.4m which had been agreed with Precise.
Every intermediary who had phoned in with an enquiry on the day was also entered into a prize draw for an iPad 2.
Rob Jupp, managing director at Brightstar, said the event gave introducers an opportunity to get to know what Precise Mortgages could offer.
He said: “We were genuinely surprised at the interest we had from intermediaries on our first lender day.
“Precise Mortgages are at the forefront of intermediary lending and offer quite a wide range of products. Apart from residential mortgages they are a key player in the bridging and buy-to-let markets and many callers were unaware of just how much Precise can do to help them and their clients.
“Brightstar is in the business of helping brokers with clients whose situations call for a deeper understanding of the circumstances behind the case and Precise Mortgages has proved to be a lender which we can rely on to listen and evaluate a case on all its merits.”
Roger Morris, sales director at Precise Mortgages, added: “We are delighted to have been involved with Brightstar’s first lender day. Specialists like Brightstar are a marvellous support mechanism for brokers.
“At a time when so many lenders look no further than what their computerised decisioning systems, Brightstar is able to bring brokers and their clients to lenders like us who still believe in the experience and knowledge of human underwriters. This means that cases which are inherently sound can find a home.”
