It has been set up to develop electronic land and property data access to help improve the bome-buying process.
C-NLIS manages NLIS which has been set up to support local authorities and other property information holders in England and Wales in their move from manual to electronic provision of property information services. NLIS provides electronic access to all the official sources of land and property information, across the whole of England and Wales, via a number of competing channels.
Imtiaz Farookhi, chairman of C-NLIS, speaking at the launch, said the the organisation was commited to improving the homebuying process and deliver enhanced community related services: “As a Community Interest Company, we have a duty of care to protect and inform the general public. An NLIS search provides the consumer with peace of mind as all searches are up to date and from official sources.”
