The association said the measures are to keep lease administrators up to date on lease assignments and to ensure prompt payments.
CA is encouraging conveyancers to send documents by email rather than post, and for all lease administrators to provide email contacts and accept emailed documents.
In order to avoid posting documents, CA points to utilising pre-existing rent and service charge demands and online contact details for conveyancers, which have been published by lease administrators
In addition, CA wants conveyancers to ensure payments are sent electronically, and for lease administrators to provide bank details or other payment facilities to conveyancers to avoid the need for cheques.
It is also urging lease administrators to authorise HM Land Registry during the lock down to accept conveyancer evidence.
Furthermore, both conveyancers and lease administrators are also calling on the Land Registry to relax its rules on acceptance of deeds with e-signatures.
Beth Rudolf, director of delivery at the CA, said: “Clearly, this is a difficult time for all conveyancing stakeholders as we seek to keep the process moving and therefore, following member feedback, we hope that these practical steps if adopted by lease administrators will make things easier for all concerned.
“The third measure is a shift however we believe that this will help maintain an up-to-date register at HM Land Registry.”
