The networks are: First Mortgage Options (FMO), Genesis, Guaranteed Home Loans Network Services (GHL), Mortgage 2000 (M2i), Optima and PMH Alliance Limited.
CETA writes more than 5,000 policies per month and currently provides insurance cover for over £4.25 billion worth of domestic property. CETA’s product range includes: buildings and contents, ASU, life assurance, liability, legal protection, travel, commercial and pet insurance. Many of the insurance products have been specifically rated to ensure they provide excellent cover at competitive prices and CETA members receive both initial and renewal commission on all business.
CETA announced during 2003 that it would be providing full general insurance regulatory support to brokers who chose to become either appointed representatives or directly authorised brokers in January 2005. The company will not, however, be providing mortgage support; preferring instead to refer its members to its mortgage network partners.
CETA Managing Director, David Quick, said: “We’re delighted to be providing these leading mortgage networks with general insurance support. It is our intention to stick to what we do best – general insurance – and work with like minded organisations who can provide our members with high quality support when it comes to sourcing and submitting mortgages.”
“We are keen to enter into discussions with any mortgage network which understands the benefits of working with a specialist general insurance network, rather than simply giving their member a restricted choice of 1 or 2 general insurance products.”
