The Portal is available free of charge and gives members access with the speed and efficiency of fully electronic transactions.
Personal line insurance available through the Portal includes household, ASU, travel, pet, caravan and quotations for non-standard risks.
Unlike many rival systems, it also enables quotations for commercial risks such as shop, office and liability insurances plus a host of other financial services including loans and asset/vehicle financing.
David Quick, CETA managing director, said: “The Portal is a powerful tool that opens up new possibilities for maximising insurance sales.
“It will appeal to those IFAs or mortgage brokers who do not currently have access to such a wide range of insurers or products. But it is also likely to attract general insurance brokers who want access to new personal and commercial lines too.”
The Portal can be accessed for free and there is no minimum level of business. Commission rates are paid on initial or renewal business placed via the system.
It allows access to a wide range of management information and accounting tools such as commission statements, quotation activity and policy schedules.
Quick added: “All general insurance products are available for you to quote instantly and purchase online – there is no need for manual forms or customer signatures."
Customer payments are handled by CETA with the option of annual, monthly by direct debit and credit card payments. Compliance documents are generated and stored online ready for printing when necessary. Information held on the site is encrypted and stored on dedicated servers.
Quick concluded: “It is designed to be comprehensive, competitive, secure and very user-friendly. We believe it is a winning combination that will help drive sales in the future."
