Knott is currently chief executive of Ask Property Developments Ltd.
Knott, who lives in Marple Bridge, has worked in the commercial property field for more than 25 years and jointly established Ask Property Developments in 2000. Before beginning his Ask venture, Ken was a director of AMEC Developments where, over a ten-year period, he led a team responsible for securing major strategic projects throughout the North, Midlands and Scotland.
Knott is currently a director for Abito Limited, Crosby Ask Limited, Ever 1824 Limited and Central Park Management (2002) Limited. Knott said: “The Cheshire is an exceptional brand, so I am delighted to have been appointed to join the board of directors. It is a great regionally based building society with a national reach and over 400,000 members. I am looking forward to bringing my expertise and contributions to the society’s board.”

In addition to his board positions, Knott has made a substantial contribution to the regeneration of the North West region and is joint chair of Ashton Regeneration, which is a five-year regeneration project for Ashton under Lyne in Tameside. He also chairs the Marketing Task Group to market the project and town.
