This follows direct requests from intermediaries as well as its own market research.
23,500 users of Exweb will be able to perform client specific comparisons for the friendly society’s ‘Holloway’ style income protection contract, Income Assured. Specifically designed to cater for a niche market, Income Assured has key benefits including:
- ‘Day One’ cover
- No loadings for occupation, gender, smoking or hazardous pursuits
- Flexibility to amend contract for changing circumstances
- Cash lump sum on contract maturity
15 product providers are already live across Exweb’s PHI service giving intermediaries access to more online products, quotes and electronic business services than any other industry resource.
Paul Hudson, Cirencester Friendly Society chief executive, commented: “Intermediaries have a hard enough job highlighting the need for income protection; this is why we are working hard to ensure IFAs receive the support they require whenever possible. By reacting to feedback and launching our product on Exweb we hope to make our specialist product available to a wider adviser audience.”
David Child, managing director of The Exchange, added:
“We are delighted that Cirencester Friendly Society has chosen Exweb as its primary industry platform, especially as the choice was supported by such positive feedback from the adviser market. This new addition demonstrates our ability to provide tailored services for all types of providers and policies – giving users more market choice and providers more access to key distributors for specialist products.”
