Ranked number 8 in the CML Buy to let lender league table based on gross advances in the second half of 2006, West Brom is just behind TMB and Northern Rock, but ahead of both UCB Homeloans and Capital Homeloans.
James Taylor, Corporate Account Manager at West Brom for Intermediaries, said: “We’re delighted to have hit the premier league of buy to let lenders, but are not really surprised. Our great strength has always been in the buy to let sector and we have put a lot of effort into strengthening both our product and service propositions during 2006.
“We have particularly focused on forging strong working relationships with intermediaries, who will account for approximately four fifths of all our new business this year. We have also put a lot of effort into enhancing our online proposition, which enables intermediaries to submit buy to let business directly to us. It is our objective to keep rising up the league table during 2007!”
