The franchised company will be called Complete Mortgage Services (West Sussex), which will become a trading style of Capital Mortgages Ltd. Capital Mortgages currently has four staff; it packages mortgage cases for regionally-based mortgage brokers; and is directly authorised by the FSA.
Capital Mortgages director, Debbie Gallagher, said: “We wanted to find a way to offer a large lender panel and good exclusive products to our brokers – but this is increasingly difficult to do as a smaller packager. Becoming a CMLS franchise means that we can gain the lender and product benefits of a larger packaging organisation, while still retaining our independence, our one-to-one contact with brokers and our friendly service culture.”
CMLS director, Tony Salentino said: “The broad and flexible nature of CMLS’s franchise model is ideal for smaller packagers who want to benefit from CMLS’s wide range of packaged lenders, our extensive portfolio of exclusive products, and our good reputation in the marketplace. Franchises can be of any size, and be either directly FSA authorised or an AR of the CMLS Network. This route will also be ideal for large mortgage broker firms that act as satellite packagers, as it offers a wider range of lenders, more control and will help develop their businesses further.”
