Derbyshire had already announced that its Intermediary Support Unit (ISU) would be moving to Salt by the end of the year.
Launched by Derbyshire in 2005, Salt was created to provide a wider range of mortgage products including non conforming, prime self certification and more recently commercial loans.
All the products that were available through the ISU will still be available at Salt.
Mike Taylor, Salt's national sales manager believes this move is a 'win win' situation for intermediaries: "Intermediaries and their clients will also be better off because at Salt we charge no booking fee and intermediaries and their clients will benefit from enhanced service levels in addition to our online DIP and application systems as well."
Alistair Welham, head of sales & marketing at Salt called the changes "a logical move for the business."
He contimued: "It simplifies our brand strategy, reduces costs and cuts out any confusion for brokers looking to access our full range of products.
"Research with introducing brokers confirmed our view that having Salt as the sole channel would simplify the process and enable us to deliver a higher level of service.”
