As the edeus launch programme goes into overdrive, Michael Bolton, Alan Cleary and the team are hitting the streets to spread the word about edeus and its business proposition.
The battle bus will leave edeus' HQ in Wolverhampton on the first leg of its national “New Era” launch tour on 14 September. The battle bus will transport the edeus sales team almost 3,200 miles across the UK, making 24 stops across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Alan Cleary, managing director of edeus, said: “The tour is going to touch all corners of the UK from Plymouth to Edinburgh – from Norwich to Belfast. The New Era Party on 13 September will be the last time that the edeus team is together in one place until the end of the launch tour in October.”
“The scale of the tour is enormous: five thousand brokers have already reserved places at the roadshow. We hope the stops will be good chances for brokers from all over the country to meet the edeus team and have a few drinks with us. But we also want to make sure brokers are comfortable with our systems, our products and our proposition. That’s why we will be doing our first live cases over the next few days via limited distribution and then a full market launch by the end of our roadshows.”
Aside from meeting the edeus sales team, brokers who attend the roadshow will also receive five entries into each of edeus’ two free prize draws for a pair of Oyster Perpetual Rolex watches and membership of Damon Hill’s car club P1. The P1 club offers members the chance to borrow luxury cars, for example the Ford GT, Lamborghini Murciélago, Aston Martin DB9 Volante, Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Ferrari F430 Spider, and the Aston Martin Vanquish S.
The first stage of the journey will see the battle bus roll into action in across the South of England, stopping in at Maidstone, Guildford, Milton Keynes, London and Croydon. The second leg will see the crew head north through Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle and into Scotland. The penultimate stretch will be a thrust southward through Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Norwich, Southampton and the West Country. The final leg will see the battle bus heading over the Irish Sea to Belfast and then back to Wolverhampton.
Michael Bolton, CEO of edeus, said: “The edeus plan remains the same – we are going to transform the specialist mortgage industry. At edeus we are 100 per cent dedicated to intermediaries and committed to championing this sector. The battle bus will help us spread the edeus word.”
Cleary commented: “We’ve been bowled over by the level of interest – it’s surpassed our wildest dreams. We signed up our 5,000th intermediary – our target for the end of 2006 - in just 10 days. Now we’re approaching the 10,000 mark and we’re capitalising on our initial success to ensure even more brokers embrace the edeus story.”
