Jason Berry is leaving his role as Uinsure director of sales at the end of the month.
Berry(pictured)has been at general insurance provider Uinsure since 2012, while before that he was director of distribution and strategy at Safe&Secure Insurance from 2010 to 2012.
He was notably head of sales at Platform Home Loans between 2006 and 2009 after previously being divisional manager at the lender.
Simon Taylor, chief executive of Uinsure, said: “Jason has been a major part of Uinsure for six and a half years.
“We wish him all the best for his future career and thank him for everything he’s done.”
It’s understood Berry has no role to immediately move into.
When he returns he will weigh up whether to stay in general insurance, focus on protection or take a lending role.
In 2018 Uinsure achieved record sales levels and growth, while it made a major hire in David Smith as chief innovation officer from iPipeline in November.
Berry said:“I have thoroughly enjoyed my role developing the Uinsure proposition and creating the positive sales momentum which will continue during 2019 and beyond.
“There are very talented people throughout the Uinsure business and I have certainly enjoyed my time either working alongside or leading these individuals.
“I remain very passionate about UK consumers receiving sound financial advice and expect my next role to be within the Intermediary marketplace. I wish the Uinsure team continued success."
