The service enables packagers to enter details of their client’s personal circumstances and loan requirements into an online form. Once complete, the information provided is submitted direct to the secured lending department using a ‘one-click’ process.
The data contained within the DIP is used to source and place the case with the most suitable lender from a panel of providers. Once this research is complete, an e-mail alert is sent to the packager to advise them a DIP response has been entered onto the website and is ready to view. The whole process offers a turnaround time of no more than four working hours.
Packagers then log-in to a personalised section of the packaging website where they are able to view their DIP response as well as retrieve previously or part completed ones. If the recommended product and provider is acceptable to the client, the packager can also access PDF versions of the application forms for all the panel lenders and these can be viewed, downloaded or printed as required.
To assist packagers in the use of this facility, a ‘Help’ section has been created and can be accessed via the on-screen menu at anytime. This contains a number of the most frequently asked questions and answers and has been designed to ensure that use of the second charge DIP is as straightforward as possible.
John Smith, sales and marketing director for GHL Group, said: "Since its launch to our Appointed Representatives and Directly Authorised brokers some months ago, our second charge lending service has proven to be a huge success, which is why we have extended this facility to include our network of packagers. With this type of lending becoming increasingly popular, we are certain our packaging partners will quickly see that this sector of the market can provide them with a substantial new income stream. Now, with the release of our new fast and efficient DIP service, they will have the ideal tool to help realise that potential."
