It is looking to appoint four members of staff including a head of packaging.
Levels of business handled by GHL’s packaging arm have increased dramatically since the launch of the group’s web-based online Decision In Principle (DIP) service, which saw two members of staff join its placements team earlier in the year.
Business levels have once again reached a point whereby the packaging operation is ready to welcome further resources to ensure the continuation of the standards of service the group provides its brokers. GHL’s latest recruitment programme will see the appointment of three case administrators as well as a head of packaging who will report directly to the operations director.
The role of head of packaging involves overseeing the day-to-day running of the packaging operation in Maidstone as well as delivering the required target business levels. The position will further entail understanding and working closely with existing staff as well as brokers and lenders, in order to continue the development of this fundamental segment of the business.
Three case administrators will join the existing team of eight who together will report to the new head of packaging. As senior members of the team they will process mortgage applications from all 16 lenders on the group’s packaged lender panel, for both Appointed Representatives (ARs) and Directly Authorised (DAs) brokers alike.
Neville Sharman, operation director at GHL Group, said: "The continuing success of our online DIP service has once again led to the need for more staff as well as a more defined management structure within the department. By adding to our staffing levels now, we will not only address the current business level issues, but also ensure that we have the capacity to deal effectively with anticipated future volumes created by the release of further developments to our e-commerce function."
