The offer, which also includes 10% off standard legal fees, aims to highlight that the exemption has now entered its final year following the Budget announcement.
Under the terms of the deal, buyers can claim £50 worth of B&Q or Marks & Spencer vouchers upon completion of their residential purchase as long as its value is within the 1% stamp duty band and the purchase is not on a buy-to-let basis.
Lynne McCaffrey, head of conveyancing at Goldsmith Williams, said: “Many first-time buyers find it difficult to decide when is best to take their first step on the property ladder.
“The stamp duty exemption allows people to buy houses up to the value of £250,000, which is particularly useful for those in higher-priced areas such as the South East, meaning this could be a good time to make the move.
“However, the exemption is only in place only for the next 12 months so it’s important they take advantage of it while they can. We are offering a further incentive by giving first-time buyers a little something to help them get started in their new home.”
