He will be charged with developing differentiated and sustainable products in HML’s key markets of mortgages, savings, personal lending and business intelligence.
Grimbaldeston, who has over 25 years of experience in financial services marketing, strategy and product development, having previously worked for Bradford & Bingley, Royal Bank of Scotland, Abbey and Provident Financial.
For the past two years has been running his own management consultancy where he has worked with debt solutions providers, comparison sites and a start-up lending business.
He said: “I was impressed with Andrew Jones’ (HML’s CEO) vision for the company and the support he has for innovation, so I’m looking forward to leading the product development agenda at HML for existing and new clients.”
Grimbaldeston will report to Andy Wiggans, HML’s chief commercial officer, who added: “John brings focus and agility to our product development function. Our markets are constantly evolving so we need someone with the experience and commercial nous to make sure HML’s clients continue to receive a market leading service.”
