Bennett said she intends to step back in March this year.
Jackie Bennett OBE (pictured) has announced she will step down from UK Finance as director.
Bennett said she intends to exit her director role in March this year and cited the reason for her departure as wanting to “spend more time with my family and to pursue other interests.”
Despite stepping down as director, Bennett said that she plans to stay on part-time as a senior adviser to “support the team through the transition and provide strategic input on mortgages and housing.”
Bennett has spent the last two years at UK Finance. Prior to this she spent time at The Northview Group, GE Money Home Lending, Council of Mortgage Lenders, Association of British Insurers and the Home Office.
A spoksperson from UK Finance said: "After two years at UK Finance, Jackie Bennett is stepping back from the role of director of mortgages at the beginning of March this year to spend more time with her family and pursue other interests.
"A search has begun for her replacement. Jackie will continue to be employed by UK Finance part time as a senior adviser to support the mortgages policy team through the transition and provide strategic input on mortgages and housing."
