Law firm Kemp Little has launched a free advisory tool to help businesses navigate tax, legal and financial processes amid the complications caused by COVID-19.
The toolkit provides advice on issues such as data protection, corporate governance, intellectual property, contracts and people management, and is aimed at founders, SMEs and big business owners.
According to the firm, it has noticed an uptick in inquiries around contractual rights, employee furloughing and directors’ duties.
Advisory content, originally created by Kemp Little’s lawyers for its own clients, will now be publicly available for the duration of the pandemic and beyond.
The content included in the toolkit will be regularly monitored to remain in line with policy updates.
Andy Moseby, corporate partner at Kemp Little, said: “The last few weeks have thrown up a whole host of logistical challenges for businesses as many restructure to accommodate the new normal of home working.
“With a mass of misinformation in circulation and a lack of clarity in areas like employment law where the goalposts have changed, Kemp Little wants to provide a free, reliable and up-to-date overview of the legal and financial issues many are navigating.
“Business leaders now face the necessity of moving operations and staff online, whilst devising new strategies to stay afloat in an environment of uncertainty - and all whilst remaining compliant.
“Our aim is to provide as much advice as possible to a wide network of businesses facing these challenges.”
