Patrick Kamande was sentenced for six years while Malik was sentenced for six years and a half at Reading Crown Court.
Kamande’s wife Mary Kimani also received a 10-month sentence suspended for 18 monhs after the trio was found guilty on three counts of mortgage fraud.
The charges involving Kamande concerned properties he bought with mortgages brokered by Malik under false names.
Kamande pleaded guilty to possession of false identities but pleaded not guilty to five other counts of fraud and two counts of obtaining money transfers by deception.
His wife was found guilty to one count of fraud. Detective Sergeant Nick Bell from the Thames Valley Police economic crime unit, said: “This was a complex mortgage fraud case involving numerous mortgages and false identities.”
