Armitage was head of risk and compliance/financial crime at Kensington, while he has also worked as a credit risk manager and head of risk development & implementation in 14 years at Kensington.
Earlier in his career Armitage held a number of mortgage and retail financial services roles for Halifax, including area manager for Bristol. After two years working for JP Morgan, Armitage joined Kensington Mortgages who were subsequently purchased by Investec in 2007. Armitage is a Fellow of the Chartered Bankers Institute (FCIB), CeMAP and CeRGI.

LendInvest originated close to £400m of loans spanning between one and three months in 2013.
