Peter Richmond is appointed Business Development Director. His new role will encompass direct responsibility for all general insurance distribution channels, marketing and business systems. He was formerly Operations and Business Systems Director.
Andrew Dawson will join Legal & General at the end of March 2004 to take on the new role of Operations Director for general insurance. Andrew joins from Marks & Spencer Financial Services and has previously worked for Independent Insurance and Royal and Sun Alliance in a variety of senior underwriting and business management roles.
Both Peter and Andrew will report to managing director Ian Viney of Legal & General’s general insurance operation. Speaking about the appointments, Ian Viney said, “These changes add further strength to both the Senior Management Team and our overall structure and will, I believe, enable us to take full advantage of future business opportunities and maintain our impressive growth. “
