This year’s survey also received the highest ever level of response from club members with around one thousand mortgage intermediaries completing the survey.
Several key initiatives implemented by the club have come as a direct result of the feedback generated by the survey. These include improvements to the type and frequency of communications with members, securing new lending sources and offering stronger exclusives.
In 2011 the charitable scheme, Brokering Change, also came about as a direct result of the feedback and gave member firms the opportunity to participate in relevant fundraising.
Ben Thompson, managing director at L&G mortgage club, said: “Our members told us they wanted us to continue our search for new lenders - something that we hope to deliver on later in the year - and that they wanted us to improve the way we communicate with them about the withdrawal of products.
“We’ll be using all the information from the survey to ensure we continue to improve our services and those with our lender partnerships, so that we continue to give our members the best possible chance of doing good business in these difficult times.
“The survey also asks members to rate our lender partners and the results of these will be revealed at our Mortgage Club Awards in a couple of week’s time at The Guildhall.”
