He brings 18 years of experience in the intermediary market
Lloyds Banking Group has named Andy Dean (pictured) as its new head of housing and sustainability, following the retirement of Andy Mason earlier this year.
Dean joins Lloyds from Nationwide Building Society, where he served as head of intermediary support and new build for Nationwide and its buy-to-let lending arm, The Mortgage Works. Since 2018, he has led Nationwide’s new build agenda and managed its intermediary support teams, including a large team of business development managers.
He began his career as a business development manager with Advantage Home Loans. He is CeMAP qualified and brings 18 years of experience in the intermediary market, having served on the Intermediary Mortgage Lenders Association management committee for the past four years.
Dean will join Lloyds in September and will report directly to Esther Dijkstra, managing director of intermediaries.
“I am really pleased to announce Andy’s appointment and welcome him to Lloyds Banking Group,” Dijkstra said. “The intermediary mortgage market is of crucial importance to us, adding Andy’s experience and deep sector knowledge to our team will help us continue to drive developments and initiatives that continue to improve our support to customers, brokers and the mortgage market.”
