Rachel Court, national intermediary manager at Yorkshire Building Society, said: "We are delighted to be joining Mortgage 2000's rapidly expanding
Mortgage Club and our Intermediary Account Managers are looking forward to
working closely with Club members to deliver the Society's range of mortgage
products and services to their clients."
Francis Mogg, assistant director of key accounts at Northern Rock, said: "Northern Rock is delighted to be appointed to the Mortgage 2000 lending panel."
The latest announcement follows on from the announcement at the beginning of March that Nationwide and Portman Building Society were joining the Mortgage 2000 Mortgage Club.
Sean Hornsby, director of Mortgage 2000, said: "Intermediaries use the m2 -
mortgage club because of the quality of panel lenders we have on board. It
means a great choice of products with the best market rates available. More
importantly, intermediaries deal direct and retain control of cases with
lenders whilst taking enhanced procuration fees. In addition, many of our
lender partners accept electronic applications direct from the Mortgage 2000
system. Both Northern Rock and Yorkshire Building Society accept business on this basis, and expect significant levels as a result of accepting the
Mortgage 2000 generic application and the electronic trading facility. With
Northern Rock also offering an extra £100 procuration fee on all business
receive until 1st June 2002, I expect they will make an immediate impact
with our subscribers.
"The addition of these two providers means that the m2-mortgage club now has 26 panel lenders accounting for around 75 per cent of the mortgage market."
