The size of rooms was the most important consideration for 25% of those surveyed, while the age of the property was number one consideration for 11 per cent of people. Gas central heating was the third most important consideration to all homebuyers, while location was the most important consideration for 8%.
Double-glazing failed to impress homebuyers, with only 4% of people rating this as their primary concern. Yet a garage or off-street parking was most important for 8% of those surveyed.
