Now in its seventh year, the event has exceeded previous years with 196 attendees, the biggest number to date.
There are 25 lenders and providers, exhibiting, explaining and supporting brokers from across the country.
Sally Laker, managing director of mortgage intelligence holdings, said: "We are delighted that we have been able to put on the annual conference for seven years, today I have seen people that were here at the first event and some that that we met at the very start when we set up Mortgage Intelligence in 1996."
She described a sense a community that is prevelant at every conference, which welcomes and looks after new comers and shares ideas with experienced industry veterans.
She said: "We try and create a warm, friendly atmosphere which helps to keep a close bond between industry members. We are all here for the same reason, to increase and improve our businesses and this event helps to provide information and ideas.”
The event kicked off with a meet and greet session with lenders and providers, where brokers could wander around and look at the stands or book one-to-one slots which Laker dubbed "speed dating".
Laker said: "This is the broker's chance to get the business development manager on their own for fifteen minutes and ask the questions that are specific to their needs.”
Later today there is a question and answers session with five industry speakers; Adrian Whittaker from Abbey for Intermediaries, Charles Haresnape from Aldermore Bank, Peter Curran from Lloyds Banking Group, Ian Andrew from Nationwide for Intermediaries and John Truswell from Virgin Money.
Emily Surman, BDM for Virgin Money, said: "This is a great opportunity to get yourself in front of people you wouldn't get a chance to meet - I have spoken to people all over the country today so it's a great opportunity for everyone."
Chris Fairfax, managing director for Positive Lending, agreed that event was invaluable in getting lenders and providers out from behind the desk and in the same room.
He said: "You can deal with people every day but never meet them. It's been really good to put names to faces."
Those who have exceeded among their peers will be honoured in the awards ceremony tonight followed entertainment from Mock the Week regular, Hugh Dennis.
