Winners recognised for overcoming gender barriers and achieving notable professional milestones
In time for International Women’s Day, Mortgage Introducer has released its 2024 Elite Women list, highlighting the significant strides female leaders are making within the UK mortgage industry.
According to MI’s analysis, a notable increase in female representation at executive level within the UK’s financial sector is evident, with 58% of the award recipients currently holding positions as directors or in senior management. This marks a 23% rise in the number of women in executive roles over the last two years, underscoring the considerable impact and progress driven by the accomplishments of these Elite Women.
2024 Elite Women selection process
MI called on professionals across the UK to put forward female colleagues who not only hold influential positions within the mortgage industry but also exhibit a profound dedication to their careers. These nominations were based on the nominees’ professional achievements within the last year, their innovative contributions, and their overall influence on the mortgage sector.
After a detailed evaluation of the submissions, the MI team selected 55 women who have distinguished themselves in the industry for the final Elite Women list.
