The new brand identity will replace the current black ‘house’ logo, which has been used by Mortgages plc since its launch in March 1998. The new identity will be applied to all documentation and promotional material and the rebranding exercise should be completed by the end of January 2006.
Peter Beaumont, sales & marketing director at Mortgages plc, explained the rationale for this development: “We felt the time was right, now that Mortgages plc is part of Merrill Lynch and a major player in the UK non-conforming mortgage market, to bring our corporate identity up to date.
"We wanted a design which was clean, confident and modern and, whilst maintaining the individual character of Mortgages plc, also aligns our visual identity with that of our parent company.”
“Organisations need to periodically revisit their corporate identity to ensure it continues to reflect the changing character and nature of their business. The feedback we have had from our staff and key customers confirms our new branding epitomises the character of Mortgages plc.”
