Frustrated intermediaries say infamous Majestic Mortgages Services, which got into hot water at the 2003 Mortgage Expo for having pole dancers on its exhibition stand, has not been answering its phones and is not returning any calls.
MI tried to contact the firm but initially no-one at the firm answered. Callers are now greeted with a recorded message saying the firm has ‘unfortunately been experiencing problems with its phones’ and that any messages will be returned as soon as possible. MI has left several messages since Tuesday 8 February but so far has not received a return call from Majestic.
Mike Fitzgerald, sales director at Brentchase Financial Services, said: “I have been trying to contact Majestic for the past week, as are other brokers. It is quite astonishing and puzzling that we can’t get hold of them. As a business, it is odd that they are not answering any phone calls for this long and very annoying for us brokers.”
GMAC-RFC said the last case placed with it from Majestic was on 10 January this year. Preferred Mortgages, igroup and First National all say they have not had any recent contact with Majestic and are not aware of the situation at the company.
