There are currently around 140 HIP organisations in the marketplace of which just seven have been listed by the NAEA.
Among the criteria examined by the NAEA were the ability for the provider to demonstrate experience and in-depth knowledge of the market place, while maintaining the highest standards in respect of quality and accuracy and the ability to ensure complete provision of HIPs across England and Wales.
Stephen Foden, chairman, Spring Move Ltd, said: “Home Information Packs have been under close scrutiny by both the media and consumer groups. It is important that associations like the NAEA work at creating better understanding of the HIP process and value to both the home buyer and seller.
“We are pleased to see that the NAEA are laying down stringent criteria that HIP companies should be working to and are delighted that they consider us among the top providers in the country.”
