Assuming his role on 2 January 2008, Ian will join the Society from his previous position as assistant director of specialist lending at Northern Rock.
Peter Leydon, divisional director of prime intermediaries at Nationwide said: “I am delighted that Ian is joining us at such an exciting time for our intermediary business. He brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years.
"One of his initial tasks will be to build the intermediary salesforce, including the recruitment of a sizeable business development team. Intermediaries are central to Nationwide’s distribution strategy and it is really important that we continue to up our game in this area.”
