Nationwide has launched an online instant messaging service to help brokers contact support.
The service has been divided into Nationwide for Intermediaries (NFI) Broker Chat and The Mortgage Works (TMW) Broker Chat, with TMW being the Buy-to-let subsidiary of Nationwide.
Broker Chat is designed to help with pre-application product and criteria enquiries, rather than cases already submitted.
Ian Andrew, managing director of Nationwide's Group intermediary sales, said: "Intermediaries who are already using the service say that it is a useful extra tool that enables them find out quickly the information they need
"Web chat is a powerful additional service mechanism for intermediaries and a new one for Nationwide and TMW. It adds to the ways in which brokers can access up-to-date product and criteria information."
The service was rolled out in phases over the last couple of months and is now available to all intermediary partners alongside Nationwide's telephone support teams.
