Live from today, the service is designed to help students with study-related queries for a small fee of £15. The students can then access a dedicated forum where they can post questions about the content of the study materials or syllabus.
The forum will be divided into different modules enabling students to focus upon queries and responses relevant to their current module of study. The subscription also provides access to the other forums; enabling users to view questions and responses for modules they are yet to study.
The service can be used to answer questions relating to any of the ifs School of Finance ’s learning materials, including the core texts, revision notes, specimen papers and competence development tools.
In addition to communicating with subject experts, users are also able to exchange messages with other users to discuss and share ideas on studying and preparing for the examination.
Mark Roberts, head of financial regulation at the ifs School of Finance said: “This is an exciting new project that will doubtless prove helpful for many students.
“Qualified trainers and subject experts will post answers to questions. For each subscription payment, users will be able to post queries for a period of three months. They will also be able to see the responses supplied by the subject expert to queries posted by other users.
“A series of frequently asked questions is also available, together with guidance on how to make best use of the service.”
Located within myifslearning.com, the forum will be accessed using students’ existing user name and password - the same password that gives students access to the online versions of their study texts.
