In a presentation at its inaugural conference in Barcelona, Rob Jupp advised delegates of the plans.
During the conference Rob opened his speech with what he felt was the classic proponent of the business – All oak trees start as an acorn. This very much reflected the rest of the presentation with Jupp quoting that when the business was launched in January 2006 although small, due to the firm foundations that they have built over the last 18 months, the future is extremely encouraging. Comparing new mortgage figures from the first quarter of 2006 and for the same time this year these show an increase of 248 per cent. Even stronger figures are represented in the completion figures with an increase of 358 per cent. Jupp went on to say that in 2008 he expects PTP to originate £1.5 billion in mortgages.
With all of their Franchise Partners in Barcelona with PTP he emphasised their importance within the business and emphasised that they were integral to the growth of PTP and their own business.
With regard to technology, their plans for the future are to move even further forward, with integration into lender systems already underway and integration into the PTFS Toolbox next on the agenda. The next phase of the e-zy online system was also announced to be launched within the next two weeks.
Jupp spoke about the lenders that attended the conference with passion. Deirdre McManus, Rob Barnard and Alison Beech were present from Bristol & West, Wave and Rooftop respectively. “Each of these lenders are partners in our business and partnership not only comes into affect when things are going well but more importantly support when thing are not. Each of these lenders represents a different area of the market and each has provided PTP with support on many different levels.”
Rob Jupp said: “I felt it so important to emphasise to our partners that they are part of a bigger picture and that they are also strategic in out future plans. My plan for PTP is to buy rather than be bought. I want PTP to be the best it can be and I make no apologies for wanting that.”
John Hodges from PTP MDC Ltd commented: “Being a relative newcomer to PTP it was great to see there was a definite feeling of 'family', which I'm sure, will help understanding, partnership, and shared prosperity going-forward. We look forward to growing the PTP brand, and simultaneously expanding our own horizons and business.”
