Eleftheriou has gained a wealth of significant commercial experience at Barclays Bank and will be responsible for leading the development of the commercial lending business.
He joins Salt Commercial after 17 years at Barclays where, as business banking regional director for Barclays’ Northern Region, he generated record levels of growth across the region.
The appointment caps an impressive first year for Salt Commercial with expected completions of over £350 million.

As we approach our first full year of operation, our business has grown exponentially and our proposition of traditional service, together with speed and flexibility, appear to have struck a chord with both the market and employees.
“With dedicated commercial offices in both Derby and Manchester and further recruitment planned, we’re now on the look out for additional premises and experienced staff to further strengthen our position as a known name within the commercial lending market."
It is expected that Salt Commercial will have a team of 55 staff by the end of the year, spanning credit, sales and operations across three sites.
