In her new position, Smith will focus on expanding Sesame’s business, shaping its distribution strategy, and enhancing the network’s mortgage and protection offerings for members. Smith will report to SBG’s chief executive, Richard Harrison, and will join the company’s executive committee when she assumes the role on November 18, 2024.
“Toni has a proven track record of building strong client relationships and understands the evolving needs of advisers and their clients,” Harrison said. “She is well-suited to lead the future development of our network services. We look forward to welcoming her as we implement our strategy to be the proactive partner of choice for advisers, supporting them throughout their business lifecycle.”
Smith’s appointment comes as SBG pursues a growth and modernisation plan aimed at becoming a leading service provider for advice firms.
“Sesame is one of the most established adviser networks in the industry with ambitious growth plans,” Smith said. “I’m excited to work with members, colleagues, and industry partners to build a strong network that helps member firms and their clients thrive.”
