He will be responsible for leading the sales teams across Sesame and Bankhall and will report to managing director of distribution, Nick Kelly.
Kafetz joins the group from Intrinsic Financial Services, where he was strategic recruitment director.
Previous roles include director at financial services recruitment firm, Ecruit, and national recruitment and development manager at Royal & Sun Alliance.
Kelly said: “David brings with him a wealth of industry experience and will be another excellent addition to our strong management team.
“He has a great understanding and insight into the issues that adviser firms are facing whilst they adapt and build value in their business, as we enter the new Retail Distribution Review world.
“We are investing in our business and rolling out a range of exciting new services for advisers.
“David will have a key role in ensuring that our customers and our group gain maximum benefit from this important work.”
