The society said it wants to help its broker partners learn more about the directive and reassure them about pipeline transition.
Paul Darwin, Skipton’s head of intermediary relationships said: “We understand how busy our broker partners are, but with the Mortgage Credit Directive fast approaching, we want to make sure everyone is up to speed with these changes and aware of the impact this may have on their business.
“We feel that by hosting a series of UK wide breakfast seminars this will give our broker partners a helping hand.
“We feel it’s important that brokers know what our approach will be, and how to deal with the new disclosure documents and manage pipeline business during the run up to the MCD launch. This and much more will be covered during our breakfast seminars.”
In September Skipton confirmed that it will run off European Standardised Information Sheet (ESIS) – while the society is aiming to get up and running by the New Year.
