For all other applications the Skipton said it will only instruct the valuation once the initial underwrite has been completed.
It also said that, providing the valuation had not been carried out, it will refund the fees should the application not proceed for any reason.
Paul Darwin, head of intermediary sales at Skipton Intermediaries, also provided an update on the issues it has been experiencing with service levels.
Darwin said: “I am pleased to confirm that thanks to a lot of hard work across the business, our service levels have improved and are back within our defined standards.
“However, daily business volumes remain strong and your continued assistance in ensuring cases are properly packaged and keeping follow up calls to a minimum, is really appreciated.”
