This move will see both new and existing mortgage payment protection policies sold within the intermediary’s retail network, which consists of over 500 locations within the UK, transfer to St Andrew's from 1 July 2004. Advisers will use an electronic application process via the Bradford & Bingley Intranet site to facilitate sales within the network, allowing paperless applications and improved efficiency.
John Blundell, managing director, St Andrew's Group, said: "I am delighted that we have yet again been able to show our experience and ability to seek out and win new business of this calibre. The Bradford & Bingley brand is a household name and is the UK’s largest provider of independent financial advice. This relationship provides Bradford & Bingley with the opportunity to offer its customers excellent mortgage protection products, supported by unrivalled customer service by the team here at St Andrew's.”
Nigel Asplin, group general insurance director, Bradford & Bingley said: "We went through a rigorous selection process to find a new provider for our mortgage payment protection policies, and St Andrew's came out ahead to secure our account. We are working with the St Andrew's team to ensure a smooth transition of business and look forward to launching these products within our network in July.”
