Commenting on the launch, Simon Hudson, Chief Executive of Tenet said: “I believe LIME is by far the best offering in the market.”
“Our track record in helping IFA’s adapt to regulation is second to none and this experience will allow us to successfully guide mortgage and GI advisers through the maze of new legislation.”
He added: “Unlike some other offerings, this business is highly funded, understands the market, is offering market-leading products and can provide full compliance support, all at a highly competitive price.
“By this time next year both the mortgage and insurance advisory markets will be regulated and so now is the right time for advisers to choose a partner that can help them cope with what will be a massive change."
LIME will continue to provide IMA members with exclusive and bespoke mortgage products and a full range of support services including compliance support, a mortgage help desk and regular training.
In addition LIME will provide advisers with a range of new services including professional indemnity insurance support, life assurance and general insurance panels, mortgage and GI sourcing software, marketing and business development support and FSA application assistance.
Advisers will be able to choose to be directly registered with the FSA or alternatively become an Appointed Representatives of LIME. Both options will receive a full range of support services.
“There are currently about 30,000 mortgage and insurance advisers working in a market that is about to be hit with major regulatory changes,” said Geoffrey Clarkeson, head of regulation at Tenet.
“Our experience of the IFA market has shown the far reaching impact that the introduction of regulation can have and we believe LIME will give mortgage and insurance advisers the support and guidance they will need to survive in the new more challenging marketplace.”
He added: “LIME will allow them to focus on the success of their business whilst we take responsibility for guiding them through the maze of regulation.”
