It also hires a BDM for the North West and Yorkshire
Specialist lender West One Loans has promoted Pauline Rylands (pictured) to the role of national sales manager for residential mortgages and second charge.
Rylands joined West One as a key account manager in 2019 after spending more than 20 years working for Yorkshire Building Society.
In her new role, she will manage the company’s field sales business development and its broker support team, reporting directly to Marie Grundy, managing director of residential mortgages and second charges at West One Loans.
“We have a brilliant team of people in place, and I’m delighted to be taking on this new role overseeing our sales activity and support for brokers,” Ryland commented. “It’s an exciting time for us as a business, and we’re looking forward to what lies ahead as we continue to expand what we do.
“There is a real need for specialist mortgages at this moment in time, and our aim is to reach many more borrowers and to help them to access the finance they need.”
West One has also appointed Janet Frame as business development manager for the North West and Yorkshire.
Frame has more than 40 years of experience in financial services and has worked for a range of specialist lenders, including Masthaven, Kensington, GE Money and Prestige Finance, covering broking and lending across residential mortgages, buy-to-let, and second charge.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce Pauline’s promotion and to welcome Janet to the team,” Grundy said. “Pauline has played an integral part in the growth of second charge lending at West One, and more recently, in the launch of our specialist residential mortgages.
“As demand for our range of products continues to grow, we’re always looking at opportunities to expand our sales team and to recruit talented individuals such as Janet. She brings a huge amount of knowledge and experience, and I look forward to working with her.
“We have ambitious plans to carry on growing the business and we believe we are well placed to do that, with a combination of the best products and best people to support intermediaries and their clients.”
