Under the terms of the deal, Archant will make a significant investment in the promotion of the homes24.co.uk brand using all its online and offline media assets, while Zoopla will operate and power the homes24.co.uk website as part of its exclusive partner network.
It is anticipated that the new homes24.co.uk website will launch in early March and the deal provides Archant with an online property platform to promote while giving agents and developers who advertise with Zoopla even wider distribution and exposure for their listings and brands via homes24.co.uk.
Alex Chesterman, founder and CEO of Zoopla.co.uk, said: “'We are delighted to have entered into this strategic relationship with Archant. Through their strong offline and online media assets they are in a unique position to drive a significant level of traffic and, by combining these assets with our technology platform, we are looking forward to helping to make homes24.co.uk a key player in the online property space and to delivering even greater value to our members."
Serge Taborin, business development director at Archant, said: "We are very excited to be working with Zoopla. This partnership will allow Archant to provide our users with a market-leading online property search product and focus on maximising traffic to the homes24.co.uk website, while giving our local estate agents significantly greater exposure and helping them generate even more leads. With a vast majority of people searching for property online, this deal enhances our online strategy and serves to maximise the opportunity from each of our media assets."
