As chief executive, Mark Collins has overall responsibility for the operations and performance of Liberty Financial and the Mike Pero Group in New Zealand. His focus is on the group’s development of innovative financial products and mortgage-lending options, as well as building customer-client relationships and sales networks. Collins joined Liberty in January 2016 from New Zealand Home Loans, where he was chief executive for four years. Prior to that, he was general manager of distribution and head of new business and claims with Sovereign. Collins holds an MBA from the Open University in London and an LLB from Otago University. He prides himself for having in-depth knowledge and astute understanding of the financial services industry and the future opportunities for its growth in New Zealand. And, he believe in challenging a business to deliver superior products and client service through engaged and passionate people.
